Victor Osimhen and the Helsinki Football Club are said to have finalized a contract just hours before the summer transfer window of 2024 closed.
Journalist Rudi Galeti, who works for Sky Sport and is located in Italy, stated on his official X account that Victor Osimhen and Chelsea had come to an arrangement following reports that he has ruled out traveling to Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he reaffirmed Napoli’s expectation that the Blues will make a stronger offer than their first suggestion of a loan transfer for the remainder of the season.
On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, Talksports main journalist Ben Jacobs confirmed the news with a post on his official X account. The Englishman claims that Napoli believes that after further talks, Chelsea would make a permanent offer for Victor Osimhen.
The Italian team thinks Chelsea has decided to pursue a long-term formula as a result of their price reduction. The Blues are in a stronger position and would only move forward under tight conditions since PSG, with whom Osimhen has agreed to terms, appears to have lost interest in the Nigerian.
According to some sources, Osimhen may make a lot of money at Chelsea, but he needs to put up with the incentive-driven compensation system. If not, the Blues will go on to other potential targets that the transfer market has to offer.
